About the Event

In this 45-minute Lecture/Workshop, we welcome teacher Magdaléna Tomášková from the Czech Republic for the first time. She will be 'introducing the guitar as an instrument for children in a playful and interactive way' - in her own words. This Lecture/Workshop is for students of all ages, young children from the ages of 6 welcome, so hope you will not miss this wonderful event. A short Question & Answer session afterwards.

This Lecture/Workshops will feature some music played. You can also take away some printed handouts.  Workshop/Event is roughly 45 minutes in length, and starts at 4pm. Anyone under the age of 18 can attend for free, but bookings are essential!

Magdalena Tomaskova studied Music as an educational programme at Prague Conservatory majoring in classical guitar. She had been teaching music and guitar for several years in Prague. In 2012 she has relocated to UK. Currently she is working at independent school providing inclusive education. In her opinion guitar lesson is an opportunity to explore, engage and develop the inner creativity of every child. She also has a Master degree in Psychology which ties in with her work with autistic children.
