Joseph is a professional jazz pianist and recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He has been teaching piano to individual students for the past three years, working with pupils of a wide range of ages, abilities and musical experience. His lessons combine technical development with the enjoyment of making music. Joseph supports students working towards graded exams, while also encouraging them to explore jazz, improvisation and the music they are personally interested in. His engaging and encouraging lessons are adapted to each students’ goals and interests, developing strong foundations in technique, sight-reading, music theory and musicality, as well as developing confidence and a positive attitude towards music. This tailored and flexible approach is suited to students whether they are learning piano for enjoyment, working towards an exam, or preparing for concerts.

Joseph is already active on the London jazz scene, performing at venues including The Vortex, Jack Solomons and The Pheasantry, as well as at the Chelsea Flower Show. Later this year, he will perform at Ronnie Scott’s as part of the ‘Late Late Show’ with the Future Movers project. His piano recording work has included sessions at Abbey Road Studios, Angel Studios and Strongroom.
