Ugne is a Lithuanian violinist from Panevezys, Lithuania. She began her musical journey at the age of five at the Panevezys Music School and later continued her studies at Vytautas Mikalauskas Arts Gymnasium, where she studied violin until graduating in 2018.

In the same year, UgnÄ— moved to Scotland to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance under the guidance of Greg Lawson. Her studies played a key role in shaping her artistic identity and encouraged versatility across a wide range of musical styles.

Alongside classical violin performance, UgnÄ— explored historically informed baroque performance, Scottish traditional music, classical improvisation, and interdisciplinary projects. She has performed with leading orchestras such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, working with conductors including Thomas Dausgaard, Martyn Brabbins, and Michael Seal. She has also taken part in masterclasses with musicians such as the Brodsky Quartet, Nicola Benedetti, and Simon Fischer.

Between 2023 and 2024, UgnÄ— toured across Scotland in collaborative projects combining classical, flamenco, and contemporary music, performing in venues such as Usher Hall, Glasgow City Halls, St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, and other historic locations.

In addition to her performance career, UgnÄ— is a dedicated violin and piano teacher with over five years of teaching experience. She works with students of various ages and levels, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s abilities, goals, and learning style. Her teaching approach is supportive, structured, and focused on building strong technical foundations while fostering musical curiosity and confidence.
